I was born in the bush just outside Warakurna, these days it is where the road house is located. I grew up travelling between Docker River and Warburton, we then settled in Warakurna and I went to school in Kalgoorlie.

I got married and had 5 children, this kept me very busy raising my family in Kanpi. During this time I worked at the Murputja School and the Kanpi Store. Around 2002 I began working with NPY Women’s Council in the Tjungu (aged and disability) team.

I am also a Tjanpi Desert Weaver and most recently have my work on display with the ‘Hunting’ animation which is currently on display in Canberra and will aired on ICTV at a later date.

Last year I resumed working with the Tjungu team as I am passionate about helping old people, and I am also an artist working for the Warakurna Art Centre.

This is my first time as a Director for NPY Women’s Council and I’m really happy to learn and understand more about our region so I can help my people.
