 Ngaanyatjarra Lands WA

The Youth Program in Western Australia is funded by the Young People’s Project (YPP) and employs Youth Development Officers and Anangu Support Workers who are based in both Irrunytju (Wingellina) and Kiwirrkurra communities. Due to our position in Irrunytju we can also travel throughout the region to deliver services and support to young people and their families, working alongside our NPY WC Members and Directors.

The aim of the Young People’s Project is to contribute to the health and wellbeing of young people in NPYWC member communities by providing treatment services to young people up to 25 years of age who have substance misuse problems.

Our program covers recreation and diversion, one-on-one and family assistance, case management, referrals and leadership and education. We also run educational workshops and camp outs and talk about mental health, suicide, sexual health and substance misuse through the Kulintja Palyaringkuntjaku Project.

If you know of anyone who may need any help, please contact Erin Turner, WA Team Leader on 08 8958 2334 or teamleaderwa@npywc.org.au.
