The Tjanpi Nyawa! DVD captures the stories and experiences of the Aboriginal art phenomenon Tjanpi Desert Weavers. Featuring artists collecting tjanpi (grass) in remote Western Australia. The DVD highlights these artist’s artistic expression through weaving, amongst the backdrop of desert culture. The DVD illustrates how collecting tjanpi provides an opportunity to go hunting, collect bush foods, reconnect with special sites, and perform inma (song and dance).
Tjanpi Nyawa! was filmed in and around Warakurna WA.
