Chronically underfunded and in jeopardy of closing; remote Youth Programs are not "just basketball and football," they help children from remote communities, who are among the most economically disadvantaged in Australia, aim high. Youth programs play an important role in preventing youth offending. They “do everything”, NPYWC youth programs offer case management, support young people to access traineeships and jobs and are often only extra-curricular opportunities for young people to learn, upskill and access sport.
