About Us:

The Youth Program works with children and young people (aged 10-25) and their families living in the NPY region, and is integral to the work that we do. Our model is based on four key components that include Case Management, Leadership and Education, Youth Diversion and Recreation and Advocacy.

You will work within a supportive, trauma informed framework and we provide a comprehensive orientation program. You will receive best practice supervision and professional development that will support you in whatever role you take on.

About the Role:

As a Youth Development Officer, you will work with Anangu people to develop, facilitate and deliver a creative, educational and supportive youth program. Along with coordinating activities for children and youth; you will provide aspirational case management, support youths who are at risk and inspire children who are doing well. Please note these positions are remotely based in Indigenous communities.

About You:

We are looking for people who have previous Youth Work experience, if this experience has been gained working remotely then it will be highly regarded. You will be passionate about this type of work with a willingness and capacity to learn the skill sets you do not know.

In this role, you will need to have high energy and be committed to working alongside Anangu. In addition, you will have values that closely align with our guiding principles, be resilient, driven and are strong in relationship building.
