Senior Program Officer – Nutrition

Our core purpose is to work with women and their families of the Ngaanyatjarra, Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara region in central Australia to increase their capacity to lead safe and healthy lives with improved life choices.

NPY Women’s Council is recruiting for a Senior Program Officer to join the Nutrition team. You will be part of a newly formed leadership team that is responsible for providing support and guidance to a dedicated team of professionals. This role will be an integral part of the Child and Family Wellbeing Service which provides support to families with children aged 0-5 years, especially those experiencing growth faltering.

Your background and qualifications could range from Social Work, Nutrition, Community Development or Health Science and you will have experience in managing staff who carry complex caseloads.

We are looking for someone with experience in people management. The ability to provide supervision and balance the day to day delivery of program work and projects is essential. Ideally, you will have worked with Anangu people and have Central Australian working experience.

The successful person will be resilient, driven and focused. We’re looking for someone who is assertive but also has the compassion to work with our staff and clients on sensitive issues.
